I work as an Associate Professor at the Development and Change group at Wageningen University (the Netherlands). As an engaged anthropologist I explore the boundaries between activism and academia in my research about citizenship and resistance in natural resource conflicts and try to bring the practice as well as the ‘results’ of such explorations into the university classroom. The regional focus of my research is Latin America (Guatemala and Colombia) and Europe (The Netherlands). Dutch is my mother tongue and I am fluent in Danish, English, and Spanish.
